Take Your Kids to See PBS Kids' Mr. Steve at this Upcoming Free Concert

PBS Kids' beloved singing host Mr. Steve is making his way to St. Louis to perform a free concert later his month at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters Branch.

The free concert is part of the St. Louis County Library Foundation Reading Garden Event Series and is also presented by KETC Channel 9.  Mr. Steve will share interactive, original songs and stories on Friday, July 29 at 7 p.m. at Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
 
The program is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Copies of Mr. Steve’s CDs and DVDs will be available for purchase and signing.
 
Children of all ages are invited to dance and sing along with the lovable musical host of PBS Kids. Mr. Steve has been writing and performing his award-winning music for children and families for the past ten years. In May 2008, Mr. Steve began hosting PBS Kids and sharing the day with Curious George, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Super Why and Martha Speaks. His songs, with their clever stories and catchy melodies, engage and entertain kids.
 
Mr. Steve has performed at over 2,000 shows nationwide at venues including the White House, the Kennedy Center, Symphony Space in New York City, and Fenway Park in Boston. He has attracted fans from coast to coast and numerous awards, including two Parents’ Choice Gold Awards.
 
St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Reading Garden Event Series hosts free family events with authors and musicians. Sponsors include Commerce Bank and Companion. More information: www.slcl.org
