Celebrate the seasonal closing of the beloved Children's Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden with a weekend of fun activities that inspire children to be adventurous in the great outdoors. Your kids will meet Finn, the Garden's friendly frog mascot, participate in a Daffodil Dig, plant bulbs in the Nature Classroom, create a nature journal, play in the cave, on rope bridges, in the tree house and lots more during this two-day nature adventure.
First, they'll spin the wheel for chances to win fun prizes as they enter the Garden, then, the hands-on, nature-inspired fun begins. Scheduled activities include:
Children's Garden activities are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2.
Meet Finn, the Children's Garden friendly frog mascot, at 11 a.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Other scheduled events include a visit from live native creatures from the World Bird Sanctuary on Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.; and live music by WildHeart, the Emmy award-winning educators and entertainers Jan and George Syrigos, at 11 a.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Activities are included with admission to the Children's Garden of $5 per child ages 3 to 12 ($3 per child for Garden members' children). Adults are included with general admission to the Garden.

Storytelling in the Museum is an in-person storytelling event happening at 10:30 a.m. at the Missouri History Museum. This event, perfect for the preschool set, features engaging stories with themes like Grandparents Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, and mealtime. Storytelling in the Museum is free.
