
Metro Theater Company, which creates professional theater for children performed in hundreds of schools, theaters and community centers throughout St. Louis and surrounding communities in Missouri, will present a special public performance of a new play called Delilah’s Wish at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park on February 27 and 28.
Delilah’s Wish, written and performed by Mariah L. Richardson, tells the story of eight-year old Delilah, who lives on the North Side of St. Louis in a neighborhood full of all kinds of people. Delilah doesn’t miss anything, but she sure does have questions about a lot of stuff. Richardson knows this neighborhood well - it’s where she grew up. Don’t miss this exciting new play celebrating a St. Louis neighborhood through the eyes of a young person. There will be also be a "Neighborhood Block Party" after each performance, so make sure to stay and enjoy this interactive and fun event.
Delilah’s Wish includes themes of community, neighborhoods, friendship, diversity, tolerance and acceptance and bullying prevention and links into school curriculums of language arts, social studies and character education.
