Enjoy an idyllic summer experience at one of The Children's Community beloved camps! The Children's Community offers three different sessions of summer camp, each running three full weeks in June:
All of The Children's Community camps meet on our beautiful, expansive, 17-acre campus in Fenton that features forests, fields, gardens, trails, a hobby farm, and an adventure playground, all in a warm and affirming culture. We take time and intention to nurture connection among the young people and the land here. Children are people, and we practice consent, validate autonomy, and nurture their agency so they are supported in crafting the summer camp experience they want to enjoy, all in the context of the relationships they build with other campers and the environment around them. We make childhood magic here!
This will be the camp your children ask about returning to all year long. Join us for truly free play, nature connection, and welcoming faces! The Children's Community Camp is located in Fenton just off Gravois behind the Bluffs.
Visit the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park and see a star show to experience the largest artificial sky in the Western Hemisphere. Star shows are lead LIVE by one of the Planetarium's educators, creating a new and tailored experience for every audience.
Young visitors and their families are invited to the Life Science Lab Classroom at the Saint Louis Science Center to enjoy interactive read-alouds of science-themed picture books. Story times are followed by a short demonstration or discussion connected to the book's main concepts.
Sensory Friendly Science Time features reduced noise, modified lighting and sensory-friendly demonstrations at the Saint Louis Science Center.
At this free art program for ages 3-6 the focus is on the process of making art rather than the finished product. Dress to get messy!
