Free Family Fridays at the Old Courthouse are a great opportunity for kids to learn about St. Louis history, the westward expansion and take part in hands-on craft projects.
Sponsored by the National Park Service, Free Family Fridays are an hour-long, theme-based program that focuses on the history of St. Louis and westward expansion during the 1800s. Children get to create a craft project based on the day's theme.
Themes include Colonial St. Louis (June 30 and Aug. 4), Lewis and Clark (June 2, July 7 and Aug. 11), Mountain Men (June 9, July 14 and Aug. 18), Pioneers (June 16, July 21 and Aug. 25), and Plains Indians (June 23, July 28 and Sept, 1).
Free Family Fridays take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Old Courthouse in downtown St. Louis. Reservations are requested by calling 314-982-1410.
