Bippity! Boppety! Boo! We've Got Cinderella Tickets for You

Bippity! Boppety! Boo! Cinderella, one of the most well-known and beloved childhood fairy tales, is coming to the St. Louis stage – as a ballet!

St. Louis Ballet, our area’s only professional ballet company, will bring the magic of Cinderella to life at the beautiful Touhill Performing Arts Center,May 9-11. Featuring music by Sergei Prokofiev and choreography by artistic director Gen Horiuchi, the performance – which earned standing ovations at its 2009 St. Louis premiere – is expected to once again surprise and delight audiences of all ages.

See below how to enter to win four tickets to see the show!

The full-length classical ballet is designed to appeal to the whole family (yes, kids too!) and will feature the professional dancers of Saint Louis Ballet, along with plenty of dazzling special effects and extravagant costumes and sets. Don’t expect this performance to be boring – it isn’t every day that pirouettes and pas de deux combine with the classic Cinderella story that we all know and love.

Children (and adults) can get swept up in the action as Cinderella breaks free from her evil stepfamily and finds happiness with her handsome prince, and little ballerinas will love seeing the breathtaking ballet performed by an entire company of professional ballet dancers. The performances also represent a wonderful opportunity for local parents to expose our children to the beauty and creativity that are unique to the arts.

And if you’re still looking for a way to celebrate Mother’s Day with Mom this year, this could be the perfect outing too.

Performances of Cinderella are scheduled for Friday, May 9 at 7 p.m.Saturday, May 10 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 11 at 3 p.m. A festive, pre-performance Glass Slipper Luncheon is offered in the Touhill’s Terrace Lobby before both the Saturday and Sunday matinees.

The Glass Slipper Luncheon will feature three courses, sweet treats, photos with your favorite characters from Cinderella and the opportunity to shop at a special Cinderella Boutique. A package price for both the Luncheon and a Zone 1 ticket to Cinderella is available for $60/child and $70/adult, or individual tickets to the performance only range from $17-$40. ]
