Calling all budding scientists! Let's experiment, measure, and mix things up a bit with a morning full of exploration at Mad Science Time. Kids will get to be hands-on experimenting. All activities can be explored freely and playtime is included. 

Bugs, Rhythm, and Blues is happening this January 27-28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is a unique, family-friendly celebration of St. Louis’ love for Mardi Gras, blues music, and the vibrant blue morpho butterflies. 

Buddy is back at The Magic House! Beginning January 27, families can once again make tracks to The Magic House to experience Dinosaur Train: The Traveling Exhibit. Based on the popular PBS Kids TV series, this limited-engagement exhibit, created by The Magic House in collaboration with the Jim Henson Company, takes kids on a time-traveling adventure back to the time of dinosaurs.

Enjoy a story time and time with the animals at Castlewood Stables. This special storytime includes indoor and outdoor activities, interacting with, brushing and feeding the animals on the farm. 

This free library program is all about the benefits of play! Parents or caregivers will engage with their little ones, ages 0-36 months, in hands-on activities designed to emphasize the benefits of play. Each child will receive a free book to take home.

Enjoy a fun day of gymnastics and ninja activities at School Day Closing Camps at Olympia Gymnastics. 

Join your SLSO for a fun-filled Saturday morning that will have you and your youngest music-lovers dancing in your seats! The Lion and the Mouse is the perfect first introduction to orchestral music. The fully interactive, 30-minute concert will feature a story, movement activities, and dancers from COCA. This is not your ordinary symphony concert, this is an immersive experience created especially for children ages 3-6.

Kids of all abilities can run, jump, explore the equipment, and learn new skills at this Sensory-Friendly Open Gym.

Children ages 4 to 9 can sign up to read to a therapy dog. This program is free and sponsored by Pet Partners.

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 80s pop classic Back to the Future on the big screen with the St. Louis Symphony performing the score live at Powell Hall. Arrive early to take photos with Marty McFly and a DeLorean!

Santa is coming to Play Street Museum for photos with kids, and reading to kids! Everyone is welcome to come dressed in their pajamas just like Saint Nick himself! Space is very limited so each child will have a chance to interact with Santa and have their picture taken. Each child will take home a gift from Santa too. Morning snacks will be provided. 

The Pet-acular Holiday Bazaar is a family-friendly event, especially for dogs and kids! This St. Louis favorite returns to the state-of-the-art Purina Event Center the weekend of Dec. 2-3 and offers fun for all ages, including a Kids' Activity Area and photos with Santa. 

Your little one can wear pajamas and bring their favorite stuffed animal as they develop literacy skills during Pajama Story Time with the St. Louis County Library.  

Have a pizza party with Santa! Kids can hang out with Ole' Saint Nick and enjoy pizza, cookie decorating, crafts, and take pictures with Santa at this evening event.

Steinberg Skating Rink in beautiful Forest Park is the largest outdoor ice skating rink in the Midwest. Skating is open to the public all day, every day, including holidays during the season, Nov. 17, 2023 - March 3, 2024.

Preschool age kids can learn, play, explore and grow at the Saint Louis Art Museum's program for its youngest visitors. Join in on the adventure as little ones discover new ways of interacting with art and each other.
