
See more than 100 artists from around the world painting the Mississippi River floodwall in downtown St. Louis during Paint Louis 2016. Kids can take part in Scrap Cans for Kids and learn the art of spray painting.
The festival takes place just south of the Arch on the corner of Chouteau and Wharf Streets. Kids can participate in special Scrap Cans for Kids sessions on Saturday and Sunday where they'll learn the art of spray painting. Children must be at least 5 to participate. Scrap Cans for Kids will take place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children must be accompanied by parents or guardians at all times.
Paint Louis 2016 hours are Friday through Sunday, Sept. 2-4, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days. The festival also includes live music, food and refreshments.

Visit the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park and see a star show to experience the largest artificial sky in the Western Hemisphere. Star shows are lead LIVE by one of the Planetarium's educators, creating a new and tailored experience for every audience.
Young visitors and their families are invited to the Life Science Lab Classroom at the Saint Louis Science Center to enjoy interactive read-alouds of science-themed picture books. Story times are followed by a short demonstration or discussion connected to the book's main concepts.
Sensory Friendly Science Time features reduced noise, modified lighting and sensory-friendly demonstrations at the Saint Louis Science Center.
At this free art program for ages 3-6 the focus is on the process of making art rather than the finished product. Dress to get messy!
