Celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of Kade's Playground, a universally accessible playground where limitations are forgotten and differences are celebrated.
Kade’s Playground is designed so that children with and without disabilities can play together side by side. Everything is wheelchair accessible by ramps, and the playground features high back swings, a saucer swing that holds 3-4 kids, a soft, spongy surface, sensory interactive panels and all kinds of musical instruments like drums and xylophones.
There are traditional swings and slides too, and even a giant “Mt. Vesuvius Volcano” for kids to climb.
The celebration includes tons of fun kids' activities and entertainers, including the Tekno Bubble Bus, Serengeti Steve and the Reptile Experience, Babaloo Music & Fun, Ronald McDonald, face painting, a balloon artist, a magician and concessions. The first anniversary celebration is free and open to all. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
